Some of the Incognito members tried something new, the past two years. Not just sitting in front of a computer for a night, but actually go to a gym and play a fun game. In Dutch, it’s called ‘Apenkooien’. It is a game of tag where it is not allowed to touch the floor. It takes place in a gym, which is filled with playground equipment. You can use this equipment to get from one place to another. There are two or more taggers, who work together to eliminate the rest as quickly as possible by tagging them or making them touch the floor.

It will take place in Sportzaal Boschpoort. Which is located at Meutestraat 100, 6219 BL, Maastricht.
It’ll cost 3 euros for Incognito-members and 5 euros for non-members.

After this exhausting activity, we will go to cafe ‘de Twee Heeren’ with everyone who would like to join 🙂

Every block, Incognito hosts a Block Opening Drink. It’s a casual drink where people can get together and discuss the upcoming block and of course all sorts of other things.

Every BOB, a game will be played and the group that wins the most games at the BOBs will become Blockbuster of the year! So it is not only fun to participate, but you can win something as well!

Drinks will be 1 euro the whole evening.
Café de Twee Heeren is situated in the Platielstraat and it’s one of the first cafés to your right. We always have a room upstairs.

To start of the year, Incognito will host a big bbq for every student of Knowledge Engineering. The bbq will cost 5 euros, for which you can get 4 pieces of meat and salads. The drinks will be 1 euro.

You can bring other people as well.

We would be honoured if you’d decide to join us in what should be a great opportunity to get to know your fellow DKE students.

The introduction weekend will take place 9, 10 and 11 September 2011.
We will start at 18:30 on Friday, at the faculty garden.
From there, we will go to a ‘secret’ location where we will stay the rest of the weekend. This weekend, we will play a lot of group-games and get to know each other in a very relaxed atmosphere.

The costs of this weekend include a year long membership to Incognito, with which you get a 10% discount every book sale, you get discounts on the activities that are organized by us (from informal lectures, paintball to block opening drinks) and the costs include the food, drinks and location for this whole weekend.

If you want to join, please register at aktie@msvincognito.nl. When you register, we’d like to get an advance payment of 20 euros, 15 of which are the membership to Incognito. The rest of the amount can be given to us on the Friday.

Every year, Incognito hosts a large BBQ at the faculty garden to celebrate the end of the academic year.
This year is no different. On Thursday June 30th, we shall have an OMGWTFBBQ.

We expect everyone to arrive at 17:00, when we open the bar and fire up the barbecue.
The BBQ will cost 5 euros per person and for that, you will get 4 pieces of meat and a all-you-can-eat salad bar. Drinks are 1 euro.

To make sure that we buy enough for everyone, please send an email to aktie@msvincognito.nl if you want to participate in this BBQ.
Please also note whether you are a vegetarian or not.

It is also nice to know that on this BBQ the yearbook of years 2009-2010 ánd 2010-2011 will be handed out to everyone who wants one.

June 16th Incognito will organize its very first Theme Park Open Beta!
Theme Park Open Beta is cancelled!

We will organize a trip to Bobbejaanland, for which the costs will be €25,-. (normally €32,-)
There will be a limited amount of people who can join depending on the available cars, so if you’re interested register a.s.a.p.

Logically, we need a minimal amount of people to get the group discount; so sign up!
We will leave at 08:30, and return around 19:00.

Upon registration please specify if you are willing to drive and have a car available.

As you might have seen in your schedule, Incognito is organizing a Business Day next Wednesday, May 25th

The schedule of the day will be as follows:

• Informal Drink (Open Bar)
  16:30 – 19:00

No registration is required,
but it is recommended that you arrive at the faculty around 10:30.
You will then be shown to the room where the lecture will be held.

The groups that will attend the Business Day and present information will be:

• PhD
• DKE Swarm Lab

The Business Day is an excellent opportunity to gain insight into potential employers, future career opportunities and research positions at DKE.

It is a recommended activity for students of all years and mandatory for Master students.

After the formal part of the day is done, we will have a drink at our faculty.

Yes yes yes! It’s time for some crawling again!
With this pubcrawl, we will take you to a number of different pubs throughout the centre of Maastricht. In every pub you’ll get a drink and there will be a quiz througout the evening.

Costs to participate are 10 euros and you can bring anyone you like that is not in Incognito, they will have to pay 15 euros. The evening starts at 19:00 at the Faculty. If you’re late, we’ll probably already be gone, so please be on time!

The annual Incognito P-Day is approaching rapidly, Thursday May 5th.
If you want to run around in the sun, shoot some of your college-mates with paint,
thís is the one and only moment.

The whole day will cost €17.50.
This includes your paintball outfit, ammunition to make 200 headshots, 4 hours of paint-mayhem, and….. a snack.
Please keep in mind that additional balls will probably be required and cost €8 per 100.
(on average 300 more)

Because we have to travel a small distance, there is a limit to the number of people that can come.

Some of use will be joining a dinner afterwards, if you are interested in joining, please note so in the mail!

If you want to go paintballing, you have to send a mail with the subject “paintball” to incognito@maastrichtuniversity.nl

And if you happen to have a car somewhere (or you can get one from your parents or friends or something) please say so in the mail!
You will of course be compensated if you drive. The more cars that come, the more people that can join!

Please don’t forget to tell us how many passengers you can bring along, if you have a car.
